Electronic string quartet Escala captured the hearts of the nation in 2008 after appearing on Britain's Got Talent with a stunning version of Karl Jenkins' 'Palladio'. Since then Tasya, Izzy, Chantal and Victoria have performed across the world, and released their debut self-titled album on Simon Cowell's Syco Records to great success. Dynamic performers, they've taken some of classical music's best loved pieces and given them a new twist, as well as transforming some modern day pop songs such as 'Live and Let Die' and 'Feeling Good' into exhilarating string performances. Now we're very pleased to announce Escala will be joining us as a last minute addition on Friday.
Performing with the girls live on stage will be multi-award winning vocalist David Gray. Making music since 1992, David first became a mainstay in the charts with 2000's gorgeous 'Babylon'. He's since become a favourite all over the world, gathering 12 million album sales, and copious awards. Now on the verge of releasing his 8th studio album, 'Draw The Line', David's collaboration with Escala on Saturday is bound to be a highlight of the night, with his trademark vocals juxtaposing with Escala's electric sounds.
