As one of the newest names on the line-up, Australian pop sensation Gabriella Cilmi might not have made her way into your CD collection yet, but there's no doubt you'll have heard her. Debut single 'Sweet About Me' was one of the biggest songs played on radio in 2008, and her cover of Connie Francis' 'Warm This Winter' made last Christmas just that little bit cosier.
Signed when she was just 13, Gabriella's debut album 'Lessons To Be Learned' was produced by Xenomania, the pop powerhouse behind Girls Aloud. Her soulful vocals earnt her a Best International Female nomination at this year's Brit Awards and she's been spending the time since working up a storm at Glastonbury as well as putting together her 2nd album due out early 2010.
When we think about her collaboration things get a little bit curious. Gabriella has gone on record lots of times to talk about her love of Robert Plant, performing his songs as a child in a covers band and labelling the former Led Zeppelin front man her 'hero'. Don't automatically pair them up though - Gabriella also tells the world that 'Father and Son' by Cat Stevens was the song that taught her that 'music had the power to change lives'. And who's covered 'Father and Son' twice? Well only fellow performer Ronan Keating. With at least two dream partners on stage, Gabriella's duet dreams are almost certain to come true. Who do you reckon she'll plump for?
