Legend has it that Gabriella was first spotted when she was 13 by a record producer. She was doing an impromptu version of The Rolling Stones 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' for a stunned crowd at a street party in her hometown of Melbourne. Gabriella was eventually sent to London to work with Girls Aloud's songwriting powerhouse Xenomania. The result was the critically acclaimed album 'Lessons To Be Learned'. Mixing classic-sounding songs with her smoky voice, the highlight was single 'Sweet About Me' which become one of those sunny, instantly catchy tunes you can't help but hum. For many, the track provided the soundtrack to their summer and for that, amongst other things, she was awarded with a BRIT nomination for 'Best International Female.' She also triumphantly won six ARIA's back at home in Australia.
